I’m pretty sure a lot of people were shocked at the $15.00 they were charging at Churchill’s, the thin crowd was noticeable for this kind of show, but hey people … it was worth every damn cent.
Fucked Up plays in your face punk rock, they pretty much get in your face literally. The band’s frontman just didn’t plant himself on stage, he swirled through the whole place, gave and received sweaty hugs, got on top of the bar, laid down on top of the bar, ran outside the front door, got kids stuck with his mic cable, took pictures with kids, all this while singing.
One of the best shows of the year so far. Neon Blud was pretty noisy/good and Jacuzzi Boys didn’t seem quite comfortable, Gabriel’s guitar was malfunctioning and kinda got them down a little bit.
PS: Bring ear plugs when catching any of Fucked Up shows.
Sorry for the lack of pics, ran outta film :(
A few more here, I guess.
Torche was amazing, the four piece band sounds A LOT more powerful than the three piece band, I don’t know what they were thinking.
Beings was really good as usual and if you’ve seen then enough times (like me), you’d actually notice the benefits of touring.
For some weird reason I’d never been able to catch a Heartstrings set until Wednesday night. I wanna see them play again.
For a proper show review click here.
Also, there’s a 10 minute clip from the show here.

I wrote about this before here.
By the way, I noticed they actually have some pretty funny goals to accomplish:
1. A perfect square pit (we dont even know if this has ever been attempted)
2. The worlds first Circle Pit conga line
3. more to come…
Get there early, I predict a bunch of nostalgia filled pop-punk-rockers in attendance.
I know I talk about Beings a lot, but damn they’re good.
Catch them at Churchill’s soon:
And then don’t even think about missing the returning home show with Torche:
