I had very high expectations for ODDSAC especially since I read the movie took four years in the making, but sadly the visual album didn’t live to it’s expectations. Now I assume the four year lapse reason is mostly because some of the band members live geographically separately and making a movie in these conditions really take some time.

ODDSAC is a horror movie on LSD, Animal Collective’s soundtrack was very good, a lot darker and noisier than their previous Merriweather Post Pavillion. The imagery was entertaining in an awkward way and since most of the scenes are good, some of them look a little like the Windows Media Player visualization.

Overall, I’ll give it three stars out of five.
